Big, Bright, Beijing!, 2015

About
In early 2015, I was asked to be a part of the 798 International Children’s Art Festival in Beijing, China. Over the course of 5 days, and with the help of interns and hundreds of participants of all ages, we built a large freeform weaving that was roughly 100 feet square. The goal was to excite the participants with color and engagement. This project was extremely successful in those two efforts and remains to be one of my favorite community-based projects to date.
